Understanding Diamonds
We are proud to offer the finest diamonds, which have been a key element in establishing our reputable and trusted brand. To ensure the highest quality diamonds and gemstones, Ramesh Jewellers works closely with GIA-graded diamonds.
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is an independent organisation that conducts gemological research and sets global standards for determining diamond quality. GIA evaluates diamonds using the internationally recognised 4Cs: colour, clarity, cut, and carat weight, through extensive examination and advanced scientific procedures.
At Ramesh Jewellers, we have an in-house GIA-qualified diamond specialist who carefully hand-selects each stone to ensure you receive the best possible option for your chosen jewellery.
We take great pride in our reputation within the jewellery industry, and our services are built on honesty and integrity throughout every step of your journey. All of our diamonds are GIA graded and come with an official GIA grading report, providing full details and specifications of your selected diamond.
The 4C’s
Colour:
The colour of a diamond refers to the absence of colour. The GIA Diamond Colour Grading System ranges from D to Z and measures the degree of colourlessness in a diamond through close analysis under controlled lighting and precise viewing conditions.
As demonstrated by the GIA Colour Scale, colourlessness varies from diamond to diamond. A chemically pure and structurally perfect diamond with little or no colour is considered more valuable.
Although differences in diamond colour are often difficult for the human eye to detect, these subtle variations can significantly affect the quality and price of a diamond. Our GIA specialist will guide you in selecting the perfect diamond for your jewellery.

Clarity:
Diamond clarity refers to the absence of internal and external imperfections. These natural characteristics are formed during the diamond’s creation under extreme heat and pressure.
External characteristics are known as blemishes, while internal characteristics are called inclusions.
GIA clarity grading evaluates the number, size, and visibility of these characteristics. Diamonds with fewer inclusions and blemishes are considered more valuable.
Although these grading differences may not always be visible to the naked eye, our in-store GIA-qualified diamond specialist carefully inspects each diamond to ensure you receive the highest quality stone.
At Ramesh Jewellers, we ensure our diamonds range from Flawless to Very Slightly Included, guaranteeing exceptional quality and timeless elegance.

GIA Clarity Grading Scale ranges from;
These grading systems might not be identifiable to your naked eye, but close inspection from our instore GIA qualified diamond specialist will ensure you are getting the best quality diamond.
At Ramesh Jewellers, we provide a GIA approved guarantee that all our diamonds will range from Flawless to Very, very slightly included, to ensure you are getting the highest standard diamond to provide timeless elegance.

Cut
The cut of a diamond determines how well it reflects and transmits light, creating its brilliance, fire, and sparkle.
GIA analyses the proportions, symmetry, and polish of a diamond’s facets, which ultimately influence its overall appearance and value. Precise craftsmanship is essential to ensure the diamond’s brightness and visual performance.
The GIA Cut Scale ranges from Excellent to Poor. At Ramesh Jewellers, we ensure that our diamonds meet standards ranging from Excellent to Good, guaranteeing exceptional quality.
The cut is carefully assessed by examining factors such as facet

Carat Weight
Carat weight measures how much a diamond weighs and contributes to its perceived size. Diamonds typically range from 0.50ct to 5.00ct or more, depending on the design and preference.
While larger diamonds often have a higher value, the overall quality of a diamond also depends on the other 4Cs — colour, clarity, and cut.
Our in-store GIA specialist and experienced craftsmen will guide you through every stage of the process, helping you select the perfect diamond that balances size, quality, and beauty.
